Lead the front line

As a Counter Manager leading your own team of Cashiers, you'll play a vital role in helping your branch do just that.

What you'll give our customers
Our Cashiers are literally the face of Barclays, and the challenges they face can be many and varied. So, to ensure they're equipped and motivated to give every customer a great service, they need clear direction, inspirational leadership and continuous coaching. Managing between five and ten Cashiers, you'll coordinate every aspect of your team's efforts - ensuring processes run smoothly, giving guidance on how our products and services fit together, and supporting your team when they need a little help. You'll also lead by example by dealing directly with customers to demonstrate exactly what great customer service at Barclays is all about.

What you'll need
The success of everyone at Barclays is measured by their ability to put our customers at the centre of their day. To do that in this role, you'll need to be a natural people manager with plenty of cashier experience and a well-rounded knowledge of day-to-day branch operations. From cash management procedures and transaction processes to sales management principles and coaching models, you'll have all the tools you need to keep your team performing to their best.
